It’s You.

Whom to trust now?

The person whom you loved? Betrayed you.

Your beloved friends? They played you.

But these are the things that made you.

Whom to trust now?

For life has taken an inexplicable turn.

And this time you have to burn.

So burn. But burn like a phoenix,

And resurrect from your own ash.

From your life, it’s time to dump all trash.

Honest people, there are very few.

Most trustworthy person in your life?

It is only you.

Be Merry.

Let’s go out for a stroll,

Roll some Kush and smoke it all,

Let’s admire the nature,

The sky, The River and all the creatures,

And contemplate about this life,

Why are the people in this world so naive?

We’re the bees always hiding in our hive.

Step out of it, let’s see the world.

Be merry and jovial, it’s not abysmal,

For life is too short to be dismal.

Veil.

Weep, if you’re hurt.

Weep, if you must.

For it’s time to let go of it, the pain,

Weep in the rain, if you must,

For it veils the tears then,

For it lessens the burden in your heart,

For not all tears are evil.

Broken.

So shattered to be yours,
I’m a soldier, you’re my lost war.
It’s a last call just about to disconnect.

‘Broken’

Devastated.

You thought you were devastated?

No, you were just depressed and it was overstated.

Life was cruel to you, indeed it was.

But you stood up again, giving up the thought that it was fated!

Your sorrows are now confiscated,

By the happiness, which is reinstated.

Don’t care about being hated,

Don’t worry about being baited,

People will do that out of hatred.

It’s time to build an empire again from scratch,

Trust yourself, it was worth it, that you waited.

Your time is now,

Yes, you’ve made it!

Tainted.

With red, my life was painted.

Red is the color of love,

I heard once a saint said.

But life had some other plans for me,

And it wasn’t something for which I had waited.

Your hands were red,

It wasn’t love but my blood,

But I was too blind to see,

Too blind to see that your love for me was tainted.

Conscience.

You were asleep, my friend.

When you were, mentally, being tortured.

When your feelings were being butchered.

By life, you were just being ushered,

To a better place, which you own.

But you thought that you were left alone.

Those people who bid you goodbye?

They never belonged in your life.

They were the Beelzebub in disguise.

Now they’re bygone.

So you step back in your shoes and get ready to ride along with life.

You were asleep all this time, my friend.

Now you’re awake, say adios to the nonsense.

It’s time to say Hello to your Conscience.

-Abhishek Gupta

Need.

No, I don’t need you.

Yes, I looked up to you.

Yes, I made you my world.

And what did you do to me? Hurled?

Oh I’ve dealt with such things all my life,

This is not going to put me down, again.

Because a Beautiful rainbow only appears after the stormy rain.

I just crave for the presence of good souls around me,

But Life can be sometimes astounding,

You ain’t nobody to judge me, you don’t even know what I went through,

Oh yes, I may want you.

But don’t you ever think that I need you.

Scars.

Embrace your scars,

It shows that you survived,

It shows that you fought for the thing that you thrived,

You took all the beat up and cuts by the knives,

By the people you loved, your friends, your enemies and the people who wanted to see you love deprived.

You stood up to them, you rose like Fighter.

The book is your armor and pen is your sword,

You don’t need no knife, you can slay’em with your words.

Don’t you hide those scars, it defines who you are.

Be Proud of yourself, you don’t need to make par,

Now go and Show this to the world,

You don’t need no war, all you need to do is,

Just Embrace your Scars.
