Why do you write?

Often, I am being asked,

“Why do you write?”

Some appreciate, some criticise.

Does, not reading celebrated novels,

makes you uncool and unwise?
Why do I write?

So that I can vent it all out,

what I have in my mind,

for it’s much better to write,

rather than telling it to others,

what you feel, you think,

On a paper, plain white.

My poems, reflects what I feel.

The words I write tells you about

the world I live in, about the world that I see.

Here, while writing, I am independent,

I’m not bound to anyone, I feel I am free,

and most importantly, my poems,

They, unlike humans, won’t judge me.
